Romo or Manning?

For Eli Manning, time is running out. His days on the football field are almost over. Does he still have some fight left in him? As for Tony Romo, he was never as good as Eli in his prime, but since he's quite a bit younger than Manning, could he come out with a better season? Or will Eli break out with one more fight left in him?

To me, Tony Romo's prime was never outstanding. Sure, he had his games and showed signs of a superstar here and there, but was he ever dominant? No. And statistically, he's not very far up the list either. But what everyone has to give this guy credit for is his leadership ability. He steps on a football field and his offense seems to immediately get better. He can also throw the ball pretty well, and with a pretty good receiving core, he can become somewhat a threat.

Eli Manning was great. Any quarter back with 2 super bowl rings AND 2 super bowl MVP awards with multiple playoff appearances had a great career. But that was the past. Sure, he can play well, but lead and entire offense to 11 wins? (11 would PROBABLY put them in the playoffs) No. Even with Odell Beckham Jr., who I think will be huge in the upcoming season. But any player who used to have that caliber of talent will show flashes of that throughout the season. Just like we'll see Paul Pierce or Peyton Manning have a couple breakout games a year. We'll see that, but is that really enough to be better than the Cowboy's centerpiece.

Yes. I think Eli Manning will be better than Tony Romo. Tony will definitely be more consistent and probably win more games. But Eli will give the Giants the boost they need to be pretty good themselves. Plus, when I mean breakout game, I mean he will be ON. If he can pull of even only 3 or 4 of those, he'll be in good shape for a good season individually. In my mind, the Cowboys are WAY better than the Giants, but Eli Manning will be better individually, especially with the help of Odell Beckham Jr.
